IPL-Method

Lasting hair-removal for HER and HIM for all kinds of hair and skin with the most recent technology of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) E light technology

belle
IPL (Luz Pulsada Intensa) + RF (radio frequency)

What does this combination of IPL (flash) + E-light technique+ RF (radio frequency) mean for a lasting hair-removal?

This new E light method is a set of bipolar RF current (radio frequency), optical energy for Xenon light (IPL or lightning lamps technology) and refrigeration in one only impulse.
This new E light method aims at excellent successes in the field of  lasting hair-removal!
The current of radio frequency does not depend on the melanin and therefore on the type of skin either
In other words,  we can also remove, clear, grey and red hair as well as thick and thin hair in  a lasting way, which is not possible with the normal  lamps of lightning (IPL)technique .

That’s how it works:

The radio frequency current that does not depend on the melanin warms the root of the hair (follicle) without damaging the skin.
The Xenon – the light of the technique of lightning lamps warms the pigmented hair and its root from inside. Thanks to this combination the heat can act up to 200 ms and still remain. At the same time contact refrigeration cools the skin which increases also the current penetration and the treatment can be carried out in high intensities. This implies that deeper implanted hair like in the groin or the back can also they be treated successfully.

In other words:
Light impulses penetrate in the skin layer and they are transported by the pigmentation of the hair (Melanin) down to the root of the hair (follicle).
The melanin transforms the light energy into heat, with a selective warming of 70 degrees centigrade that obliterates the root of the hair (follicle) with the nourishing substance cell of the hair.
The devastation of the nourishing substance cell is very important, so that it cannot form any new follicle (root of the hair).
During the treatment, the skin is cooled so that it remains completely unharmed and free of burns.
In the fair or grey hair the warming of the root happens through the radio frequency current that doesn’t depend on the melanin.

How does it differ from the laser?

Unlike the laser method, the spectrum of the light’s wavelength is used in this method. A short electrical current impulse is sent by a lamp full of Xenon gas. This Xenon gas produces an intense light spectrum. Every colour shade has his own wavelength value that is indicated by the unit of measurement Nanometre (nm).
The light produced by our IPL device is projected in a wavelength spectrum of 640-1200 nm in the skin spots to be treated.
A laser on the contrary offers only one fixed wavelength, for example 785 nm.
In other words, a laser with a fixed wavelength cannot always be as effective for the lasting hair-removal as an IPL or an E-light device with a variable wavelength, since the hair roots are at different depths of the skin.
Besides, the laser treatment unlike the E -light or IPL treatment is often very painful.

Why are several sessions necessary for a lasting hair-removal, although the hair roots are destroyed?

An IPL treatment always consists of several sessions according to the quality of the skin and the hair.
The lasting hair-removal method with E-light /IPL is only effective in the growth phase of the hair. This means that according to the area to depilate, the active follicles of the hair (roots) represent only 20-40 %, since the rest of our hair is in the rest phase. Since the whole hair of the body can not be in the same growth phase, it is clear that only one certain percentage of the roots of the hair can be reached and destroyed during a treatment.
That's why it is not possible to determine exactly how many sessions will be necessary for the areas to be treated.
After the hair-removal treatment, the hair that was in the growth phase during the treatment, comes off and then falls down aprox. 3-20 days later according to the treated area.
The growth of the hair takes place in 3 phases:

Phases of the hair growth:

hair
Growth phase
Rest Phase
Hair loss

Is the success of the treatment guaranteed?

Every person has aprox. more than 5 million follicles, a high percentage of which is inactive. For example, a dark-haired man has aprox. 110.000 hairs.
It is possible, that, although the treated places are "free of hair”, during the pregnancy or aging, new hair might be incited to grow by hormonal flare ups.
Nobody can guarantee a 100 % of success for every treatment.
BUT the E light method is nowadays the most effective, softer and more resistant method for hair-removal.

What must be kept in mind in the treatment and how should you prevent the possible side effects:

  • A couple of days before the treatment you must drink a lot of water to increase its effectiveness.
  • 2 to 3 weeks at least before the treatment, do not use any self-tanning lotion; do not sit in the sun or do tanning sessions.
  • Likewise, after the treatment avoid solar baths and tanning sessions during 3 weeks and put cream with a high factor of solar protection on the treated areas.
  • You have to give up hair removal during 4 weeks before the treatment!
  • It is advisable to give it up during treatments and to carry them during the autumn and winter months!
  • Shaving is always allowed, also during all the treatment time!

  • If you take certain medicines like antibiotics or sleeping pills, as well as ingestion or prepared of iron allergic reactions can take place.
  • This has to be commented in the consultation conversation before the treatment.
  • The tattoos have to be covered during the treatment, since they can be damaged.
